Paul Schreck taught kindergarten through 8th grade music classes where he met his wife, Karen, a fellow teacher at the elementary school. Together they have two adult children.

Later, Paul became a Lutheran pastor and served 3 congregations in Pennsylvania before moving to Chicago to work in a big church office.

Paul has always loved to write and he loves to learn new things. He started to write science fiction screenplays and stage plays.

He also created 2 films. One film is a feature-length film about music therapy. The other is a short film about Sandhill Cranes. This film is an award winner!

Eventually, Paul returned to writing short stories, and published "Prickly Kisses", a children's book.

Paul's other hobbies include making stained glass, baking and decorating cakes, singing, playing the guitar, woodwork, and adapting toys to be more accessible so that all kids can enjoy them. (Like making electronic toys work with a switch-button for special needs students.)

He and Karen also love to go camping where they spot different types of birds with their binoculars.
