Children's Books

I’m always writing stories in my head. My picture books usually begin with an experience in real life—like my child’s daycare provider saying “Prickly kisses!” or my sister telling me about a coat peg that refuses to stay on the rack with the other pegs and I think,

“That’s interesting. I wonder what would happen if...” and the stories begin!

Agee is a “tweenaged” STEAM prodigy with a gift for computer coding. She repairs computers every day after school at a computer store. Her specialty is finding and destroying viruses, until one day an enthusiastic customer quips that Agee must be famous.

Agee knows she is not famous—she’s not even certain her manager knows her name—and this begins a fantastic journey that could either lead her to world domination, or her own demise.

Soon, Agee learns a hard truth about magic... Be careful what you wish for.

The Adventures of Little Peg. There once was a little peg. She was a completely ordinary peg, identical in every way to her four siblings, save one. This little peg liked to explore. Illustration of a blue hat hanging on a row of pegs, friendly little ants, and cute little dust bunnies with hearts floating above their heads.

The Adventures of Little Peg follows the youngest of five pegs at the end of a Shaker-style coat rack with a unique wanderlust. Her first journey is accidental, and she finds herself beneath the washing machine. She makes friends of dust bunnies and other creatures, but eventually longs for her place on the rack. And yet, as is so often the case, once back home it isn’t long until she begins to think again of ways to get back out exploring, until one day a miscalculation takes her into the wide world beyond the laundry room.
